Wedding of Aigul, my chief accountant

Hello to everybody,

Sorry for my disappearance for a long time, as usual busy running around with whole bunch of tasks.

I quite busy weekend. Well let me start, as I mentioned couple of time in my emails to some of you, our chief accountant got married. The wedding ceremony took place in Uzbekistan. We had 7 people going there. It was quite experience for all of us. The way supposed to take 14-16 h, we took a bus and in Taraz (name of the city) our bus was broken what a pity thing.
Good thing was we had men with us, who immediately acted up like our saviors, well they hired a taxi and all of us continued our journey to Uzbekistan.

Big shock for me was going through the customs, there were so many people walking back and force, but finally we managed to cross it and there we were in Uzbekistan. Our chief accountant’s husband his name is Bakhodir met us and welcomed to Uzbekistan. They rented very nice apartment for us, which was very sweet from their side.

So speaking of wedding well, there were two wedding at the same time; two brothers have decided to get married at the same time. Auigul our chief accountant’s name, she was pretty. She was all excited to see us being in Uzbekistan.

The wedding was a bit different then we have here, I am sorry all the time making comparison’s I believe that it`s pretty good to make some type of structure to see the other cultures. So in Kaz wedding you have a lot of people making speeches and drinking for the health and wealth of the new couple, in Uzbekistan people dance non stop, that shows their appreciation and respect to the new family. One more fascinating thing was if they see you dancing good they come to you and give you money. So we did a lot of dancing and some of my colleagues got chut chut of money. For people who do not know chut chut is in Russ mean a bit. So, we had so much fun dancing and kind of competing with our Uzbek relatives.

The town from the beginning was fascinating for me; I have heard a lot about it, but this time to see everything on your own was another story. The weather was very hot on that day, it`s almost like you are in Africa, at least it felt like that.

Tashkent is the capital of the country, very famous city in the Great Silk way road and very neat city for tourists`. The architecture of the town is very beautiful, it`s absolutely different then we have here in Almaty. Of course people are also quite different. They have very pretty open markets where you can find anything you would like to eat, drink and so on. The sizes are pretty much shocking.

Next day we have decided to make a side seeing around the town, which I loved. We had only 2 h before leaving, so we were in hurry. Of course we had to eat something local and very tasty. So Uzbekistan is very famous for it`s pilov, it`s rice with meat and a lot of carrots.

We found nice place, called Central Asian pilov center, where in 1 pot you can see 100 kg of rice, amazing isn`t it? It was very very tasty even though we were stuffed we continued to eat again and again. I took some pictures of that place, so in future if someone would like to go to Uzbekistan, please stop at that place you never forget it.

Then we stopped by the so called “Toshkent Disney World”. The have there rope-way on top of which you can see what’s going on in the city.

You can also see the beauty of it from the pictures.

I apologize that everything is not in that order I wanted but it`s first time when I did posting without Sonja`s help, I think it`s ok. Next Time I will try to be more careful,

You guys take care,

Love you all Nazym!
